About the Photographer
In 2002 I started shooting panoramas as a hobby. Since my trumpet and I are also involved in a brass band, there sadly is not at all that much time for panoramas. I started taking cylindrical panoramas with an Olympus Camedia 3030 on a Kaidan panoramic tripod head, using Apple Quicktime VR for stitching.
By now I am taking my panoramas with an EOS 5D, Sigma 8mm or Sigma 12-24 mm, a Manfrotto multirow panoramic tripod and Realviz Stitcher.
All of my my panoramas are taken in or near Freiburg. Freiburg is located at the Western slope of the Black Forest and its gothic cathedral is said to have got the most beautiful church tower of all Christianity.
